Praising God, serving neighbors with Christ at the center!

What We Believe

Redeemer Lutheran Church of Interlochen fervently believes that the power of God’s Love in Jesus Christ heals and changes lives, beginning in the lives of each member of the congregation and radiating out to the community.

We hear the message of God’s Law which convicts us of our sin and the comforting message of the Gospel which assures us of our forgiveness in Christ. Families are strengthened in their relationships with one another and demonstrate the compassion of Christ. We see demonstrated without exception the attitude of forgiveness as brothers and sisters in Christ are reconciled with one another. There is a welcoming atmosphere that permeates all that takes place in the name of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Love, comfort, joy. Serving support acceptance, healing and encouraging encompass all relationships. There is a hunger for God’s Word. Aspire of sharing and living that Word along with a connection to Christ in every relationship within the fellowship of Redeemer.

We see people of all ages and backgrounds gathered around the Word of God for educational opportunities that challenge, engage and grow. Opportunities are geared for all specific age levels, some include a variety of ages, some are focused on a season of life (parenting, marriage, end of life). We sense parents are equipped to pass on the faith to their children. Opportunities abound for God’s gifted people to identify and develop their special gift for service in the Kingdom of God. The friendship of the congregation is clearly evident as we come together for worship, education, and fellowship. We hear and feel the excitement of the people as they regularly gather together, whether it be monthly, weekly or daily. This friendship and excitement is consistently extended to the community of Interlochen that surrounds the congregation. They feel welcomed in our facilities and regularly participate with us. Redeemer Lutheran Church is an increasingly vibrant part of the community. As we gather together in worship at church home or some other location, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is at the center and core of all we say and do. We see more people and new faces, excited to be inspired by the Word, Sacraments, message and music. We hear people sharing their joy of God’s grace in their lives as they respond in thanksgiving, prayer and service. In response to God’s gracious coming to us with His mercy, grace and forgiveness, we freely practice forgiveness and reconciliation in our dealings with others.
