Redeemer Food Pantry has received a $2,000 Cherryland Cares Grant from Cherryland Electric Cooperative!
Cherryland Cares is a program where Cherryland Electric customers can choose to round their electric bill to the nearest dollar. The difference is then transferred to the Cherryland Cares fund. Non-Profit Organizations seeking assistance submit an application to the Cherryland Cares board for review. Over the past five years, the Cherryland Cares Board has awarded more than $250,000 to deserving individuals and organizations.
Redeemer Food Pantry has served approximately 11,000 people a year for the past few years. In the 30 years the Pantry has been open, we have served over 75,000 people. We are very grateful to the Cherryland Cares Board and their customers for helping us to provide food to our neighbors in need. A big thank you also to the Barley family and many other volunteers who have staffed, stocked, and otherwise helped out at the Food Pantry over the years!
