First Reading: Exodus 24:3-8

3When Moses went and told the people all the Lord's words and laws, they responded with one voice, 'Everything the LORD has said we will do.' 4Moses then wrote down everything the LORD had said. He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel. 5Then he sent young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed young bulls as fellowship offerings to the LORD. 6Moses took half of the blood and put it in bowls, and the other half he sprinkled on the altar. 7Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded, 'We will do everything the LORD has said; we will obey.' 8Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, 'This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words.'

Psalm: 116:12-19

12How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me? 13I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD. 14I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people. 15Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. 16O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant ; you have freed me from my chains. 17I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD. 18I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people, 19in the courts of the house of the LORD-- in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

Epistle: 2 Corinthians 10:16-17

16so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in another man's territory. 17But, 'Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.'

Gospel: Mark 14:12-26

12On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus' disciples asked him, 'Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?' 13So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, 'Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. 14Say to the owner of the house he enters, 'The Teacher asks: Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 15He will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready. Make preparations for us there.' 16The disciples left, went into the city and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover. 17When evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve. 18While they were reclining at the table eating, he said, 'I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me--one who is eating with me.' 19They were saddened, and one by one they said to him, 'Surely not I?' 20'It is one of the Twelve,' he replied, 'one who dips bread into the bowl with me. 21The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.' 22While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, 'Take it; this is my body.' 23Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it. 24'This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,' he said to them. 25'I tell you the truth, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God.' 26When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
