Summer 2010 Senior High Mission TripNew York City! As one of five boroughs Queens is one of the most diverse communities in the world. You can share in these many cultures just by visiting a local restaurant, cultural institution or nature park. Amongst the excitement of the city, there are those who face daily challenges with poverty. Our group will reach out to the urban parts of Queens by serving children, the elderly and others as we partner with local organizations to shine the light of Christ. We will be working right along side with four members of the group called Youth Works. Youth Works staff work year round to set up these mission sites and know the area very well. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve and have a wonderful experience. This trip will take place during the first week of August with additional time on one side trip to be tourist. The cost will be $200.00 with the rest of the expense being made up from fundraisers. Expect more details in the future.
